Assistant Women's Basketball Coach-4th Assistant

Position Summary
The Assistant Women's Basketball Coach-4th Assistant is responsible for assisting the Head Women's Basketball Coach in all aspects of the Women's Basketball program. Primary tasks include but are limited to coaching, student-athlete development, recruiting, and team practices. The Assistant Women's Basketball Coach-4th Assistant reports to the Head Women's Basketball Coach.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Ability to recruit, coach and teach highly talented student-athletes.
Ability to scout opponents and break down game video.
A proven record in following directives and being responsible for assigned tasks.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment as needed.
Ability to apply budgeting and fiscal planning techniques within financial constraints.
Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the public.
Ability to communicate effectively – orally, by phone, in person, via social media and in writing.
Ability to respond to emergency situations in a timely manner.
Demonstrate the ability to market and promote UIW women’s basketball.
Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.

Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree.

Required Work Experience
Minimum of one (1) year of women’s basketball coaching or basketball operations experience at the college or university level. Note that said experience at the graduate-assistant level will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications
One (1) or more years of collegiate women’s basketball coaching experience.

Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations
Must have a valid driver license, driving record that is insurable by UIW insurance carrier, and be at least 21 years of age, as required to drive for UIW.

Work Hours
Business hours of Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm with flexibility; extended hours as required, including weekends, evenings and some holidays based on team schedule.

Physical Demands
Typical for coach in this sport, to include ability to lift equipment, tools, and/or materials weighing up to 25 pounds waist high.
