Director, Marketing (Online Programs)

The Director of Marketing for Online Programs is responsible for driving the growth of Chamberlain's online post-licensure nursing and health professions programs. As the strategic lead & marketing subject matter expert for online programs, this role manages a portfolio of degree programs, owns the consumer journey for each program, establishes differentiating positions, and promotes key features and benefits to achieve a competitive advantage.



This position is also responsible for delivering an extraordinary student experience consistent with Chamberlain's culture of care by working collaboratively with academics, admissions and student services to develop and execute marketing and communication strategies for prospective and current Chamberlain University students.


Responsibilities:

  • Establish points of differentiation and key messaging at the program level to drive consideration of Chamberlain and our programs
  • Tracks and evaluates inquiry mix and recommends actions to increase inquiry flow and conversion funnel
  • Development of an intentional online program student experience strategy
  • Track and evaluate competitors in order to maintain competitive advantage and identify opportunities for differentiation
  • Supervises and directs efforts of online program marketing team
  • Collaborates with admissions on outreach, messaging, and conversion strategies
  • Partners with student services, program deans and directors to craft and implement communication plans
  • Supports new program planning and development and manages research for program expansion initiatives
  • Analyzes marketing performance data and develops strategies to continuously improve and optimize inquiry generation and conversion efforts
  • Monitors and updates Chamberlain online program web experience working closely with the broader marketing team to operationalize
  • Works closely with Adtalem Digital Center of Excellence to develop and execute annual media plans necessary to achieve annual growth targets
  • Composes message platforms for online programs
  • Assures all communications are compliant and meet brand guidelines
  • Analyzes student satisfaction data, convenes working groups to foster improvements, and oversees implementation of process and experience improvements
  • Completes other projects and duties as assigned

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in marketing or a related field
  • Seven to ten years of marketing experience in a corporate marketing or advertising agency environment
  • Direct and digital marketing experience is required
  • Proven local marketing experience is required and experience working in an inquiry generation setting for a direct sales force is a plus
  • Educational or healthcare experience an advantage, but not required
  • Experience managing local and trade show events
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Solid analytical skills
  • PC skills in Microsoft Office applications
